PORTLOGIC ON-LINE is a state of the art web-based port management information system, intended basically for small to medium sized ports but suitable for any size of port. The rapidly increasing demand for improved supply chain efficiency and security at ports is forcing ports of all sizes to provide up-to-date information services to clients. However, the capital-intensive systems currently in operation at most major ports today are essentially beyond the means of many small to medium sized port operators. PORTLOGIC ON-LINE fills this gap by helping ports of all sizes to meet client demands for information management with greater agility and cost efficiency than currently available systems.

While PORTLOGIC ON-LINE has the same functionality of proprietary developments and commercially available systems in use at all major ports today, it does not require the typically extensive investment in software purchase and ongoing maintenance. PORTLOGIC ON-LINE excludes the disadvantages of software ownership by making equivalent capabilities available online, for a simple monthly fee. This includes personalised access to an immediately available system, designed to industry standards, and a client and/or port specific database with state of the art security features.

Portlogic On-line is not a system but a service on the web. We are therefore able to offer a product leading to significant cost savings including:

 

·      No installation cost, they are replaced with ‘opening service’ fees but these fees are low and no installation on site is required.

·      The port does not need any special hardware (station, servers, etc). In most cases, the port will be able to use its existing equipment. Only a high-speed connection to the Internet is required.

·      Very short launching period, within fourteen days after port’s subscription a database is set up and the port will be ready to process its data.
